We went on a visit to Greenmeadow Farm to look at the different types of animals there were and to find out information about them. This trip helped us to do work back in class on our current topic of 'Creature Comforts'. We fed the farm animals special food, some of us enjoyed it but some of us didn't because we thought they would nibble our fingers. We found out lots of interesting facts which we used in our fact files back in class. After lunch we went on a tractor ride and it was AWESOME!! We had so much fun even though it was VERY bumpy, we couldn't stop laughing! We met the pets in the main arena and were able to touch them and ask the handlers lots of questions. We nominated Mrs Cogbill and Mrs King to have a go at milking the goat. We thought they did a terrific job. We even filmed it for everyone to see. We had so much fun in the farm and would love to go there again.

We went on an Easter Egg Hunt!
On Thursday 10th April we went on an Easter Egg Hunt. Each group had a set of clues which took us around the school. We worked as a team and worked out each clue. Some of us worked out the clues straight away and some of us needed help. We had lots of fun and were rewarded with an Easter egg each.

The Millenium Stadium
Today we visited The Millenium Stadium in Cardiff as part of our topic 'Wonderful Wales.' We had a very informative tour of the stadium. We went into the 'Press Room' which was named after Ray Gravell, the 'Changing Rooms' for both the home team and the away team/Wales football team and then walked through the tunnel the players run out from whilst listening to the music playing as if it were a match day. We sat in seats on the top tier to see just how big the pitch was (we thought it was small when we stood by it but it's huge when seen from higher up). The tour guide took us to the 'free' seats but we can only sit there if we are invited! The Royal family have sat on the seats we were sitting in, they are very comfortable. The hospitality rooms were very nice and there was an excellent view of the pitch. We asked lots of questions and have learned a lot about the Millenium Stadium. Take a look at some of our photos below.
Mrs Davies's assistant photographer for the day was Megan.
These are Megan's photos below.

Making Welsh cakes
This
term our topic is ‘Wonderful Wales’. We will be finding out lots
of interesting things and taking part in different tasks, all with a
welsh theme.
Last
week we were finding out about St. Dwynwen. We listened to the story
of St. Dwynwen on the interactive white board, before re-telling it
in our own words. In preparation for ‘Dydd Santes Dwynwen’
(January 25th), we made our own welsh cakes.
We
went out into the hall to work with Miss Massey who is a very good
cook! We learned about all the different ingredients needed to make
welsh cakes and we did all the mixing ourselves. Lots of fun was had
by all!
