I have found out that we can give stars for each piece of completed work, it's called j2stars and you should all be able to see it (fingers crossed)  I've given a few stars for those who have completed work. 3 stars for all work up to date, 2 stars for majority of work, 1 star for a few pieces. So for each piece of completed work from Monday you'll get a star in your chart....

For those children who are working in their books you'll get stars when you come back to school with your books. Let's see who can collect the most!!😁
Don't forget to look in j2homework as there is work there too. 😉

Weeks 9 and 10 Hometasks

Mr Coles and Mrs Davies Class

Hi Year 4, once again here we are with another fortnight’s work for you to attemptJ.

We’ve decided to base the next fortnight’s work on the topic of animals.  Zoo’s and wildlife parks have been in the news a lot lately, as park owners are struggling to keep the animals fed and looked after, as people aren’t  allowed to visit.  However this is changing very soon thankfully, so have a go at the work based on the wonderful animals that share our planet with us.

Hopefully after this fortnight’s work we will be starting school again in some format and we can, at last, see each other again.  Mrs Davies and myself are very much looking forward to this.

In the meantime keep doing the fab job you’ve been doing these last few weeks with your work (and the jokes!! Particularly from Mrs Davies!! lol)

Keep checking the conversation tool when you submit your work for feedback.  As always, try your best and I will help in any way I can, and we’re always available for a chat.

Hopefully we can see each other very soon, in the meantime, stay safeJ

Hello boys and girls, I've been looking at the work you've handed in so far and I thought it would be great if I put them together in some photo collages to see what everyone else has done. When work is done I'll add more collages. 😍👏 Well done everyone you've done a great job!

Weeks 5 and 6 Hometasks - PLEASE VISIT YOUR MATHS TEACHERS CLASS FOR YOUR MATHS WORK

Mr Coles and Mrs Davies Class
Hey, great effort on completing your work for weeks 3&4.  I’ve absolutely loved reading and looking at your wonderful work.  Not only that, but the majority of you also respond to my comments and then make the changes needed, so a big thumbs up from meJ
I’ve also been out of breath watching some of your Joe Wicks inspired workouts!!  It was lovely to see you, and having so much fun doing it.  You even managed to drag some of your parents to get involved so well done!!
Just a little note, obviously when you have submitted the work to me via HWB, don’t forgot to check the speech bubble icon at the top of the task you have submitted, as this is where I put the ways forward and make general comments on your work.
One last big push this week, before we can all have a rest and enjoy half term, fingers crossed for some nice weather too.
I am really proud and pleased with the effort that you are making with the tasks, da iawn ti!!

Hi everyone it's Mrs Davies. I have seen all the wonderful work you have done and some of you have sent me wonderful photos of the things you've made via email. I have created a page called Crafting and drawing on the side of our class page. I have taken some videos of how to make things or painting plus some how to draw pictures. It would be amazing if you had a go at some of them and shared them via email (Office365 - Outlook) or upload to j2e. I will be adding some more craft ideas during half term so keep a look out. Sir and I are missing you all terribly and can't wait to see your smiling faces and hear your stories. In the meantime however, stay safe and keep yourselves as busy as possible. 😀

There is also work on J2Homework in J2e, only a few of you have completed this.

Week 3 and 4 Hometasks

Please scroll down the page for the hometasks
Hello boys and girls, I thought it might be nice to have some craft time with me. On the right hand side of the blog is a new page called Crafting and Drawing. I would love you to take a look and if you fancy, have a go. I have included videos (a first for me!) and look forward to seeing your designs. I will be adding more as time goes on. I've tried to use things you might have at home but please improvise with other items, don't ask parents to buy them.  If you want to try things out but don't have any of the items let me know via email and I'll give other suggestions.
Below are the things I have done so far....

Home Tasks

Homework for Mr Coles and Mrs Davies' class
Hello year four, I hope you have all enjoyed the Easter holidays and have been able to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine we have had. I also hope you’ve been visited by the Easter Bunny and eaten lots of chocolate!  I know Mrs Davies and myself have! We have been missing you lots and are hoping that we can all be together again soon. Until then, I will be setting you some homework to do each day.
Please use the same rules that we follow in class. Take your time to read the homework carefully. Remember to write or draw your work neatly in your book. Check and edit your work to make sure you haven’t missed anything out or made any mistakes. If using the computer, save your work using a sensible name. Always try your best.
In the homework grid are two activities for you to complete each day.  One from the literacy/topic grid and one from the maths grid (mainly through MyMaths).  Most are tasks that you can finish the same day. We do understand that mums and dads maybe busy, just do your best☺
You have all been given your HWB and My Maths user names and passwords, but if you are having difficulty please e-mail me on         maesycoedprimary82@gmail.com
Sometimes you will record your work in the book we provided, or on HWB using either j2write or Office 365 for Word or PowerPoint. Please remember to save your work.

I would also like you to try to do the ‘Daily Five’ activities if possible. These are reading, kind comment, keep fit, being creative and helping someone out with something.

Ideas for Daily Five
Reading Ideas -any books, magazines or newspapers you may have at home. Reading or listening to e-books online (go to www.oxfordowl.co.uk and register for this free site) Browse the eBooks. Reading recipes, instructions for games, information on the school blog or any other text you have at home.
Kind comment - It costs nothing to be kind!  Make at least one nice comment to a household member, family or friend.  It will make them feel happy and good about themselves.
Keep Fit Ideas – Daily walk, jog or run, Joe Wicks PE work out, exercises in the garden, skipping, dancing, circuits in house or garden.
Being Creative Ideas – drawing, painting, collage, making junk models, building with Lego or any kind of blocks or sets, singing songs (www.outoftheark.co.uk) or (www.youtube.com) making actions, dancing, acting and performing.
Helping someone out  – think about what people could need help with, such as, mowing the lawn, cleaning the dishes, hoovering, walking the dog, or even taking a cup or dish to the sink!
